JLPT N3 tips

On the exam

  • A fact or decision + blank + duty or determination = 以上 (or からには).
  • Distractors: 以来 (ever since), 以外 (except), 以前 (before). Read the main clause: obligation means 以上.
  • Noun + である + 以上 is a common form; an option like 学生の以上 is wrong.
